“The glass business is getting very specialized, with new designs in automobiles and residential construction,” says owner Jerry Walton. “ Our combined experience allows us to keep up with changes in the industry and provide the latest products for our customers.”
Alamo Glass opened as a three man operation in 1958. Today, the company delivers beveled glass and mirrors to five southern states and provided heavy glass tables and beveled mirrors to local customers. “ from beveled mirror place mats to dining room tables, we do it all,” says Walton.
The storefront department works diligently “behind the scenes”. The general public may not be aware that Alamo Glass worked on projects such as Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy, Community Coffee, Moss Garden Apartments, Sherwin Williams, Huval Engineering and the Breaux Bridge Center.
“We do our share of mall fronts,” Walton says, including Sephora, New York & Co., Master Cuts, the Children’s Place, and Trade Secrets.
The picture framing department at Alamo Glass carries over 800 frames from which to choose. Our selection and design ideas set us apart from other framers in the area.
“Our auto glass department stays busy with windshield and door glass installation, both in the shop and on the road,” says Walton. Installation is performed at the glass shop on Bertrand Drive, at the customer’s home, place of business or any location at no extra charge. Alamo glass carries a large inventory of auto glass and most parts for domestic and foreign cars and trucks.
